# Der Text in meiner EPS- oder PDF-Bilddatei fehlt, wenn ich mein Manuskript im Einreichungsportal einer Zeitschrift hochlade, aber in Overleaf sah alles einwandfrei aus

Basierend auf dem Feedback des technischen Supports des Einreichungsportals wird dies wahrscheinlich durch mehrere Ebenen in der hochgeladenen EPS/PDF-Datei verursacht. (Dies kann auch bei TIFF- und PNG-Dateien vorkommen.)

Solche Probleme lassen sich in der Regel vermeiden, indem die EPS/PDF-Dateien vor dem Einreichen zusammen mit der Manuskriptdatei abgeflacht werden. Dadurch werden alle Ebenen des Bildes zu einer einzigen Ebene ohne Alphakanal zusammengeführt.

Photoshop und [GIMP](https://www.gimp.org/), sowie einige andere Bildbearbeitungsprogramme, verfügen über solche Funktionen wie „Bild abflachen“ oder „Ebene zusammenführen“. Sie können auch Befehlszeilenbefehle verwenden, wie zum Beispiel [ImageMagick](http://www.imagemagick.org/Usage/layers/#flatten), oder verwenden Sie `epstopdf` und `pdftops` für eine Hin- und Rückkonvertierung. Führen Sie zum Beispiel für ein PDF-Bild namens „fig1.pdf“ Folgendes aus:

pdftops -eps fig1.pdf
```

um eine .eps-Datei zu erhalten, und dann

```
epstopdf fig1.eps
```

um wieder eine abgeflachte .pdf zu erhalten.
