# \hbadness

Les moteurs TEX fournissent les commandes `\hbadness` et `\vbadness` qui sont utilisées pour aider TEX à déterminer s’il classe et signale une boîte horizontale ou verticale particulière comme insuffisamment pleine ou trop pleine. Notez que ces commandes ne modifient ni n’affectent l’apparence des boîtes composées ; elles déterminent simplement ce que TEX *des rapports* à vous.

* `\hbadness[=]<number>`: `\hbadness` spécifie une valeur seuil de mauvais remplissage à utiliser lors du classement d’une boîte horizontale comme insuffisamment pleine ou trop pleine.
* `\vbadness[=]<number>`: `\vbadness` spécifie une valeur seuil de mauvais remplissage à utiliser lors du classement d’une boîte verticale comme insuffisamment pleine ou trop pleine.

Exemples d’utilisation :

* `\vbadness=1000` ou `\vbadness 1000` (le signe « = » est facultatif)
* `\hbadness=500` ou `\hbadness 500` (le signe « = » est facultatif)

Notez que TEX utilise également deux paramètres supplémentaires lors de la détermination de savoir si un `\\hbox` ou `\vbox` doit être signalé comme *trop pleine*:
