# Il testo nel mio file immagine EPS o PDF manca quando ho caricato il manoscritto nel portale di invio di una rivista, ma su Overleaf sembrava perfettamente a posto

In base ai riscontri del supporto tecnico del portale di invio, è probabile che ciò sia causato da più livelli nel file EPS/PDF caricato. (Questo può accadere anche con i file TIFF e PNG.)

Tali problemi di solito possono essere evitati appiattendo i file EPS/PDF prima di inviarli insieme al file del manoscritto. In questo modo tutti i livelli dell'immagine vengono uniti in un unico livello senza canale alfa.

Photoshop e [GIMP](https://www.gimp.org/), così come alcuni altri programmi di manipolazione delle immagini, includono funzioni come "Appiattisci immagine" o "Unisci livelli". È inoltre possibile usare comandi da riga di comando, come [ImageMagick](http://www.imagemagick.org/Usage/layers/#flatten), oppure usare `epstopdf` e `pdftops` per eseguire una conversione di andata e ritorno. Ad esempio, per un'immagine PDF chiamata "fig1.pdf", eseguire:

pdftops -eps fig1.pdf
```

per ottenere un file .eps, e quindi

```
epstopdf fig1.eps
```

per ottenere nuovamente un .pdf appiattito.
