# LaTeX-fout: kan alleen in de preambule worden gebruikt

Deze fout verschijnt wanneer je een pakket of klasse in de hoofdtekst van je document hebt opgenomen, in plaats van in de preambule. De preambule van het document bestaat uit alles wat geschreven is vóór **`\begin{document}`**. In de preambule definieer je het type document dat je schrijft, de taal en verschillende andere elementen. Een normale documentpreambule zou er bijvoorbeeld zo uitzien:

\documentclass[12pt, letterpaper]{article}
\usepackage[utf8]{inputenc}
\usepackage{amsmath}

\title{Eerste document}
\author{Hubert Farnsworth \thanks{gefinancierd door het ShareLaTeX-team}}
\date{Februari 2014}
```

Als je schrijft **`\usepackage{...}`** in de hoofdtekst van het document (na **`\begin{document}`**) in plaats van in de preambule, genereer je de onderstaande foutmelding.

Om deze fout te verhelpen, zorg ervoor dat alle **`\usepackage{...}`** commando's, evenals **`\documentclass[...]{...}`**, worden geschreven vóór **`\begin{document}`**.
