# Porque não posso usar \bullet sem obter um erro de sintaxe?

O `\bullet` o comando foi definido para uso no modo matemático, então você precisa escrever `$\bullet$` (ou `\(\bullet\)`) para usar este comando no seu texto. Se você usar `\bullet` fora do modo matemático, ele gerará o erro [`Faltou inserir $`](/latex/overleaf-learn-latex-pt/erros-do-latex/25-missing-inserted.md).

Como alternativa, o `\textbullet` comando pode ser usado fora do modo matemático sem necessidade de sinais de dólar ou `\(...\)`, como demonstrado no exemplo a seguir:
