# \pdfoutput

`\pdfoutput[=]` *liczba całkowita*

* „`[=]`” oznacza, że znak równości jest opcjonalny.

Ta `\pdfoutput` polecenie służy do określenia, czy plik generowany przez pdfTeX ma być w formacie DVI czy PDF. Dodatnia wartość *liczba całkowita* oznacza wyjście w formacie PDF, w przeciwnym razie wyjście jest w formacie DVI.

**Przykład użycia**

* `\pdfoutput=1` ustawia format wyjściowy na PDF
* `\pdfoutput=0` ustawia format wyjściowy na DVI

#### DVI: nadal przydatny

DVI oznacza *niezależny od urządzenia* i jest oryginalnym plikiem [formatem wyjściowym dla silników TeX](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Device_independent_file_format). Chociaż format DVI został zastąpiony przez PDF, pozostaje niezwykle przydatny do specjalnych operacji obróbki końcowej, takich jak konwertowanie składu na SVG za pomocą [dvisvgm](https://dvisvgm.de/) lub generowanie HTML z TeX/LaTeX za pomocą narzędzi takich jak [TeX4ht](http://www.tug.org/tex4ht/).
