# Varför kan jag inte använda \bullet utan att få ett syntaxfel?

Den `\bullet` kommandot är definierat för användning i matematikläge, så du behöver skriva `$\bullet$` (eller `\(\bullet\)`) för att använda detta kommando i din text. Om du använder `\bullet` utanför matematikläge kommer det att ge felet [`Saknat $ infogat`](/latex/sv/latex-fel/25-missing-inserted.md).

Alternativt kan `\textbullet` kommandot användas utanför matematikläge utan behov av dollartecken eller `\(...\)`, som visas i följande exempel:
