# Texten i min EPS- eller PDF-bildfil saknas när jag laddade upp mitt manuskript till en tidskrifts inlämningsportal, men den såg helt bra ut i Overleaf

Baserat på feedback från portalens tekniska support är detta sannolikt orsakat av flera lager i den uppladdade EPS/PDF-filen. (Detta kan även hända med TIFF- och PNG-filer.)

Sådana problem kan vanligtvis undvikas genom att plana ut EPS/PDF-filerna innan de skickas in tillsammans med manuskriptfilen. Detta kommer att slå samman alla lager i bilden till ett enda lager utan någon alfakanal.

Photoshop och [GIMP](https://www.gimp.org/), samt vissa andra bildbehandlingsprogram, innehåller sådana funktioner för "Flatten image" eller "Merge layer". Du kan också använda kommandoradskommandon, såsom [ImageMagick](http://www.imagemagick.org/Usage/layers/#flatten), eller använda `epstopdf` och `pdftops` för att göra en rundreskonvertering. Till exempel, för en PDF-bild som heter "fig1.pdf", kör:

pdftops -eps fig1.pdf
```

för att få en .eps, och sedan

```
epstopdf fig1.eps
```

för att få tillbaka en utplanad .pdf.
