# \pdfoutput

`\pdfoutput[=]` *整數*

* “`[=]`” 表示等號是可選的。

該 `\pdfoutput` 命令用來指定 pdfTeX 產生的檔案應該是 DVI 還是 PDF 格式。正值的 *整數* 表示以 PDF 格式輸出，否則輸出為 DVI 格式。

**使用範例**

* `\pdfoutput=1` 將輸出格式設定為 PDF
* `\pdfoutput=0` 將輸出格式設定為 DVI

#### DVI：仍然有用

DVI 代表 *與裝置無關* ，且是原始檔案 [TeX 引擎的輸出格式](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Device_independent_file_format). 雖然 DVI 格式已被 PDF 取代，但它對某些特殊的後處理操作仍然非常有用，例如使用 [dvisvgm](https://dvisvgm.de/) 或使用例如下列工具將 TeX/LaTeX 轉為 HTML： [TeX4ht](http://www.tug.org/tex4ht/).
